Ori Toor

Ori Toor is an illustrator and animator from Tel-Aviv. He "deals mostly with experimental 2d animation and obsessively drawing heaps of noodly landscapes and shapes." He creates these almost off-putting illustrations and animations that are hard to look away from because they're just so weird. I really like his work, but I'm not sure why. For whatever reason, his art just draws me in. I spent way longer than I would like to admit just watching his videos on Vimeo. It's so cool how much is happening on the screen at once; when you think that nothing else could possibly be added to the scene in front of you, another weird element makes it way onto the screen. I admire his work ethic because it must have taken forever to draw each individual frame in some of these.
