Raubdruckerin (Pirate Printers)

Based in Berlin (and spreading to other major cities), there is a company called Raubdruckerin, or Pirate Printers. They use the city as their canvas, screen printing in the streets using actual utility covers. I chose to showcase this company simply because of how unique they are; whoever had the idea for this is incredibly creative. I find it inspiring because not only is the idea unique, but each product will be entirely one-of-a-kind, as well. No two prints will be the same because of how DIY this is - the whole process is so human. I've never been a huge fan of screen printing in the past due to how mechanical it is, but these artists' project gave me a newfound appreciation for it and the potential that this process really holds.
